Does your horse have sensitive feet?
A horse can have sensitive feet no matter how strong the hoof capsule may be. All horses’ feet have a blood supply, nerves and proprioceptors which are biological structures hence their propensity for "over sensitivity". There are many causes for sensitive feet including pressure, inflammation, oedema and abscess.
