Farrier Report: Glushu for horse with club foot.

When managing hoof issues in horses, few conditions are as challenging as a club foot, particularly when accompanied by laminitis. Farrier Ulrich Gerusel recently shared an effective approach to treating a club-footed horse using Glushu. Glushu is being used to facilitate the transition from specialised care to traditional shoeing.

"I often have customers come to me with complex hoof issues - in this case it was a horse with club foot and profound laminitis.

Here I used Glushu size 1, customising the treatment to address the unique challenges faced by the horse. I added a Frog Support to increase cushioning and stability, enabling the horse to regain comfort and mobility during recovery.

Hopefully this has set stage for a transition to traditional shoeing at the next appointment.
