In equine care, hoof health is critical. One of the most common yet challenging issues faced by horse owners is hoof abscesses. These painful infections can cause significant distress to horses and pose a serious concern for their owners. Recently, expert farrier Ronald Aalders showcased a forward-thinking approach to treating hoof abscesses with Glushu.

From Ronald Aalders

“An abscess is like an iceberg, most of the damage you don't see. Here's one I shod in Tierklinik Lüsche in Germany the other day, with pics after initial cleaning and cutting and final shoeing.

Since the medial wall didn't allow nailing I used GLUSHU glue-ons with some extras to get this horse comfortable. Never underestimate an abscess!

I use Glushu on many different clients – please like my Facebook page to see more of my work.

Glushu is a unique product designed to support and protect a horse's hooves, particularly when traditional nailing techniques are not advisable. Ronald highlighted that adapting treatment methods to meet individual needs is vital in farriery. By employing Glushu, he kept the horse comfortable during treatment, allowing for efficient healing of the abscess.. This kind of care can be the difference between a prolonged recovery and a speedy return to health.
